So I was very excited when Eberjey asked me to host a Watercolor and Wine workshop for there “Be Inspired” series in Newport Beach. If you haven’t yet visited Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach, where Eberjey is, then you are missing out! It is such a cute collection of boutiques, cafes and restaurants, all sitting along the beautiful Newport Beach Harbor. Some of my favorites there including Eberjey is the newly opened Malibu Farm, Zinque, the book store and Le Labo.

During the evening of my “Be Inspired” workshop we talked about letting go and using intuition to guide us to create something uniquely beautiful with watercolor. I always remind my workshop guests, art is not about creating the exact same thing as someone else. Watercolor painting does really require a sense of surrendering and improvising when things don’t go as planned, especially for beginners. All the ladies really displayed individuality in color preferences and brush techniques that we went over and I think all the watercolor paintings came out so pretty!
Rosé wine was definitely the variety of choice for the end-of-summer night but white and red were also available for tasting along with a perfect selection of snacks. All of this supported the relaxed and inspiring vibe for the evening.
It was a lovely group of women who spent the evening with me at Eberjey relaxing and getting inspired painting palm leafs, sipping wine and shopping in the beautiful store. If you aren’t familiar with the brand Eberjey, let me tell you they are known for there super soft must-have pajamas. They also have a variety of swimwear, loungewear, and the cutest little girl collection.
